# Referral System & Tiers

THE GUILD’s referral system contains four layers divided into two groups:

* **Direct Referrals**: Layer 1 - Users who joined with your referral code.
* **Indirect Referrals**: Layers 2, 3, and 4 - Users who were referred by your referrals and those they referred.

### Referral Rewards

Earn from your referrals whenever they generate a transaction on THE GUILD.&#x20;

E.g. If someone in your referral tree completes a Quest, you will earn a percentage of it as a reward. All rewards are paid in the original asset that was transacted in, so if your referral is paid in $AVAX then your reward will be in $AVAX. If they’re paid in $ETH, then your rewards will also be in $ETH.

&#x20;The referral map contains information about the users you've referred in your network. On your referral map, you can find:

* A user's current level
* A user's current tier
* The number of Quests completed
* The total amount of XP a user has earned

### Referral Tiers

Tiers are determined by a combination of XP and referral requirements. Tiers are checked on-chain, so to move up a tier (*"Tier Up"*), you need to update your on-chain XP balance. Tiers are designed to incentivize and reward community growth.&#x20;

Requirements of each tier consists of minimum Level requirements and minimum referral requirements.&#x20;

* **Novice**: Profile completion + Make your first post
* **Adept**: Above LVL 20 + 3 Novices or higher under your referrals
* **Expert**: Above LVL 40 + 5 Novices or higher + 1 Adept or higher under your referral
* **Master**: Above LVL 70 + 5 Novices or higher + 2 Adept or higher + 1 Expert or higher under your referrals
* **God-tier**: Above LVL 90 + 5 Novices or higher + 2 Adept or higher + 1 Expert or higher + 1 Master or higher under your referrals

Each tier offers unique perks and rewards, reflecting your level of engagement and influence within the platform. One of the perks include a higher percentage on rewards earned from referrals in your network with THE GUILD.
